Summary of the Book
Sat Din Ka Jeevan Kaise Jeeye
God has given the ability to think and understand only to human beings. Hence, we can work on many things at the same time. Only human beings have the ability to make new inventions. In doing so, we are likely to make mistakes; but rather than brooding over them, we can learn from them and resolve not to repeat them. If we continue to repeat the same mistakes, it indicates that we are living and working unconsciously. The one who is conscious learns from his mistakes and brings about a big transformation in his life.
Life is like a movie. Every movie has an interval. When one gets opportunities for contemplation in the intervals of life (such as between two years, between two months, between two days or even in a day even between two events), one can reflect over how well he has played his part. What has he gained, and what has he lost? In which areas should he make improvements, and how?
One needs to contemplate on how he is doing in the five aspects of life – physical, mental, social, financial and spiritual. He should take care to be healthy in all these aspects. He should plan and work on the areas which are as yet underdeveloped. This he can easily do with a ‘one step at a time’ approach. Small steps or transformations are in fact not small at all; they are important stepping stones in the process of complete transformation. This is possible with discipline and consistency.
The mind resists discipline; hence one must train his mind to take one step at a time, but consistently. He should establish a system of reminders along the path of development. The frequency of reminders will change from individual to individual.
The one who concentrates and works according to a plan receives big benefits in life, and remains free from all sorrows.
