Summary of the Book
In India, the supply – demand ratio for electricity is extremely skewed. This shortage of electricity has led to load shedding and inconvenienced the common man. The book tries to give simple solutions to overcome this grave problem that the entire country is facing.
The book talks about electricity and easy every day measures that can be taken to save it in layman terms. The author talks about saving electricity at different levels – personal level at home, organizational level and even at a broader level such as rural planning of electricity supply. She touch bases on a number of issues such as leakage of electricity (because of technical issues as well as stealing), unnecessary usage of electricity, etc. and then further talks about the sustainable alternatives to produce electricity.
It has been the author’s humble effort to raise awareness on this issue and bring it to the doorstep of every household and organization.
