Dr. Jagannath Dixit is presently working as Professor and Head of departmaent od community Medicine atGovernment Medical Colleg, Latur. He has teaching experience of more than 28 years in various medical colleges. He has received 3 national and 5 state level awards for his commendable contribution in the filed of health education.He was awarded Best teacher award (medical faculty) and best of the best teachers award (all faculties) for the year 2015 -2016 by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.He has writen 2 textbooks for medical students, 1 for nursing students and 20 for health education of lay people. He has published more than 40 research articles in National and international medical journals. He is active in voluntary blood donation campaign and has donated blood more than 50 times. He worked as consultant for WHO and UNICEF. Inspired by late Dr. Shrikant Jichkar he has inltiated "World free of obesity and diabetes" compaign.Through social media like Whatsapp and Facebook, 45000 members from 37 contries are directly connected with this campaign.
