I am pasting Ashok Raj's review/comments here. Not my review since I am the author. But in reality who is the author? Who is the Motivator? The Great Motivator Lord Vithoba is the one who gets everything done from us, using all of us as His instruments. He loves us and does nothing that will hurt us. He is known to be so generous that Sant Tukaram Maharaj has said in one abhang that Lord Vithoba is so sensitive to a help call from a devotee that if He hears a devotee's plea while He is having His lunch, He just leaves the food portion in His hand back in the plate and rushes, literally runs to help the devotee! So, let us accept that He is the Doer and I am only an instrument. Thanks to the Lord, for motivating me and protecting me. Ashok Raj is an accomplished author of many books. He writes: Namaskar Deepak ji, I read with much interest your translation of Tukaram Abhanga Gatha. I think it is a pathbreaking work that brings this great saint in a wide global perspective for a spiritual transformation. I would request you all to note the words 1. pathbreaking, 2. wide global perspective and 3. spiritual transformation. I fully agree with Ashok. Same thing has been said in the Publication event speeches by trustees of the Jagadguru Sant Shri Tukaram Maharaj Sansthan, Dehu and direct descendants of the pathbreaking Saint Tukaram - HBP Manik Maharaj More, HBP Purushottam Maharaj More and HBP Abhay Maharaj Tilak (renowned economist and a scholar of saint literatue). In fact Abhay Maharaj went to the extent of comparing the event of publication of the book of translations of 52 abhang (DIVINE VERSES - ABHANG GATHA: Teachings of Sant Tukaram), to the 13th century event of writing of Dnyaneshwari by The Adya Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj (Incarnation of Vishnu, born exactly on the Janmashatami day and at mid night just like Lord Krishna) who made Shrimad Bhagwad Gita accessible to the common man ( in the Non Sanskrit world) by translating it into Marathi. Now, that Tukaram Maharaj's teachings will be accessible to the whole English speaking world (and will soon get translated in other world languages), we do have a strong improvement opportunity for the whole world. Saint's words have power. Power to wake up people, power to correct behaviour os strayed human beings. What we need to do is to increase awareness of the people that such book of English translations of Abhang Gatha is now available and soon there will be translations of 900 more abhang available in 3 volumes. That is 20% of the whole Gatha - an ocean created by Tukaram Maharaj, of 4500 heart touching abhang, melodious abhang, guiding and motivating abhang. I request you to kindly post your review in your social media, BookGanga or Amazon, because the world has to be informed that the knowledge huge treasure (bhandar) of the great Saint Tukaram Maharaj has now been made open for the whole world to learn from his wisdom and benefit.
