Summary of the Book

Excellent book that throws very good light on the contents of Rigveda. How Rigveda is hardly sacred and contains the picture of the then civilization and society rituals. How cow is not holy and how Rigved is dictated by humans and not god.
A must book to be kept in home liabrary.

I bought this book thinking that I will learn something about the 'Ved' but unfortunately this book is a rant about how Ved are of no worth and how people and Rishis are foolish enough to respect them in any sense.
I would have loved to read a constructive criticism but it seems that in first 110 pages of the book that author simply wants to bash people who respect Ved. Author conveniently switches between sources and often the sources he sighted as better on page 10 are ridiculed on page 15.
There is a lot about how author studied the Vedas than what is in them. After page 110, I still have found no word of respect about the subject author intended to write, which says a lot about the intention of the author. I personally would not write about the subject I don't like.
Please do not buy this book if you have a shred of respect for Vedas.
