Reshimgathi is a compilation of cute stories. It feels similar to 'Aesop fables' or 'Arabian nights'. The best part of the book is that, almost every person can relate to atleast one of these stories. The language of these stories vary from sophisticated Marathi to typical 'gavakadchi' marathi (गावाकडची मराठी) and gives a glimpse of marathi language variation across Maharashtra state. I recommend this book to elders and children alike. For elders, this book is bound to bring back nostalgia.. whereas for children, this will serves as life lesson.. a modern day jataka tales. Be it 'Manya potraj' or 'ऊसतोड मंदी ' or सुमती from हरवलेले गाव.. each one gives a moral through their perception. This book will help children develop empathy for people who they would never even might have noticed. I commend the scintillating efforts of Hon. Prof. P. A. Attar madam on carefully collecting each gem story and compiling such a Gem necklace 'मोत्यांचा हार ' Best wishes for future. Anticipating a new book from you each passing year and to hear more of your lovely stories.
