Jobless samurai tells the extraordinary story of Kannan, a jobholder who was forced to leave his job and confront the spiritual crisis of his out-of-balance life, and the subsequent wisdom that he gains on a life-changing odyssey that enables him to create a life of passion, purpose and peace. With the story I could relate my own life with the book. A genuinely inspirational story and a lot of emotion at once. The book is a fable about fulfilling one's purpose and also achieving destiny by author Vinod Phadatare. Great Job

This book changed my life. Really friends, I bought this book during my bad times just to keep myself busy with good thoughts. Book is written with very good intention and the story is related to each one of us who wish to start their carrier in this job market. Such a mindful nature of the character and its presentation with each and every detailing by author is mind-blowing.
This is Vinod's first novel, but he has complete control of his story and his style. Read it!

This is one of the important book for every management person in this world. I recommend it to each and every one who really want to do something in this world rather than just spending time in calculating their career on no of years experience. If someone read this book and work for one year, that person will be able to gain experience of 5 years because this book turn the thought process of the reader and alert to find meaning in what we do. Believe me life changes after reading this book and that is not in the office only but at family also. I have started looking at my wife as she is my Saira and I love her more than I ever loved her. This book is a story of every person. I read this book during my travel from my home to my company and return every day. It is very interesting story.I was reading the book as every thing happening in daily meetings are written in it. I am very happy to learn basics of understanding why I work and why the company offered me a job. It is mind-blowing that with learnings and practicing the zen methods explained in this book are very useful for me in my daily life. Such a great balance in work and life is possible in todays time.
I was surprised with the name of the book first because for me samurai is great warriors and how come that is jobless, then after reading the book I understood that the writer has presented every one of us as samurai and now the story is asking us to look at our job, family, friends and even our cultural events with open eyes and start enjoying those as we are jobless after our office time. I am happy with my reading and writing this comments to help others on this book.

A very knowledgeable and practical book for Zen practitioners. I am following Zen Buddhism for the last ten years and have never read any such detailed use of it in our daily life. I work for a company in accounts and never thought of the good of my job before reading the jobless samurai book. My life has changed after reading this book and I am happier now that I am writing this review. This is the first time I am giving a review for any book I have ever read. I feel like everyone must read this book.
