Theme is good & holds readers interest in first few pages But subsequently since written in very old victorian period, writing style describes even any smallest insignificant situation for pages together.This slows down the pace often deviating from the main subject and reader loses interest.But considering period of writing this novel, Original writing is perfect . Translation by Shri Shankar Patil captures all moods of the author exactly as it is retaining originality. 100 marks for translation.
