khalil gibran (1883-1931)was a lebanese post, artist and writer of great repute. he is known for his writings, borh in english and in aradic, as well as for his paintings. among his well-known works are the prophet, jesus, son of man , the madman , sand and foam, broken wings, a tear and a smile, spirit rebellious, the garden of the prophet, the beoved , mirrors of the soul etc.
